Church Values

ST CHAD’S VALUES

  •  St Chads is a church that exists to extend the ministry of Jesus through loving mission to our community.  We want people to know that they are welcomed and cared for.
St Chad’s is a place of grace.  We reflect the life of Christ in the way we treat each other and our world.  We are quick to repent, quick to forgive and lay down the mistakes of the past at the foot of the cross.
  • St Chad’s is a church that wants to build its life upon Christ.  To seek God in word and prayer so our lives may engage with Gods presence, which will shape our actions and behaviours.
  •  As a people we are thankful for God’s generosity.  We want to care and develop the property, materials and resources that God has blessed us with. We are called to be good stewards with our resources.
  •  At St Chad’s we humble ourselves to God’s authority.  We recognise that in all things we are accountable to God.  We are accountable to each other as brothers and sisters in Christ and therefore we never assume power and control over each other.  Our goal is to be servant leaders like Christ.
  •  We uphold our wider Christian community, in particular the Diocese of Bristol and Bristol & South Gloucestershire Methodist Circuit/District.  We will endeavour to be a community that blesses the wider church.
